Covid-19 Changes

Despite COVID-19 Te Atatu Health is open and here to support you with any health concerns.

More information can be found on the Ministry of Health page and on the Government’s Covid-19 website.

To protect our patients and staff, and reduce the spread of COVID-19 there are some key changes about how we run:

Consultations

Our practice is still open and here to care for you. We are offering phone and video consults which you can book either through our online portal https://myindici.co.nz/Account/Login, or by contacting the reception team on 09 900 1111 or admin@tahealth.co.nz.

Some in-person consultations will still be available at our clinic for urgent and essential services, where it is safe to do so.  If you need to be seen in-person at our clinic, the team will arrange this when you phone to book the appointment.

These services include:

  • Some dressings and wound care
  • All scheduled immunisations
  • Some cervical smears
  • Some regular contraception and medication injections
  • Some fracture clinic appointments
  • Other essential services – check with reception when you phone to book. It will likely be that you will have a virtual (phone/video) appointment first and if still need to be seen, the doctor will give you instructions at the time.

When visiting in-person we ask you to wait outside and phone us when you arrive. Please follow the instructions on the door.  Please note that anyone entering the medical centre is required to wear a mask.

If entering through the front of the building it is essential that patients do not have new or worsening runny nose, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, fever or stomach pain – unless a discussion about these symptoms has been had with one of our doctors or nurses prior to your arrival and you have been cleared for entry.

Ministry of Health advice and guidelines for general practices operating during the Delta outbreak changes frequently, and we ask for your understanding as we work to care for you as safely as possible.

Prescriptions

If you are due a Repeat Prescription, you can request this as normal (phone or Indici Portal). If you are due for a GP review, please book an appointment for a phone consult. Prescriptions will be sent directly to your local Pharmacy; you will not be able to pick these up from the clinic.

COVID-19 Testing – BOOKED APPOINTMENTS ONLY

We are an approved COVID-19 Designated Testing Practice; this means we can safely test our patients as well as other members of the community. The testing is separate from the GP Clinic, so it is safe for those who are needing to come into the clinic. We can test anyone with ANY of the following symptoms.

  • Cough
