News & Updates

  • Te Atatu Health will be closing over the Christmas and New Year period to give our team a well deserved break.

The clinic will close at 12pm, Tuesday 24th December 2024. We will re-open Monday January 6th, 2025 at reduced hours (8.30am - 5pm). Our normal hours will resume from the 27th January, 2025.

If you require healthcare services during our closure period, we have an arrangement with CareHQ which allows our patients to access online appointments with an expert CareHQ GP. Pricing for patients will be $19.50 for community services card (CSC) holders, and $49.95 for non-CSC card holders. We are confident that this will provide a more timely and cost-effective option for our patients, compared to visiting an Urgent Care clinic.

To see an online doctor, all you need is access to a computer or smart phone.

Patients without the myindici portal can use a coupon

Please go to https://www.carehq.co.nz/ and enter code XMAS-1 (non-CSC) or XMAS-2 (CSC holders) to get the discount at time of payment.

Please note, you will be required to enter your Community Services Card number for CSC appointments.

    Patients with the myindici portal

Open your MyIndici patient portal online or smartphone app, click ‘Book Appointment’ and scroll down until you see 'Other Telemedicine Consultation Services, click on CareHQ. Select a GP 10 minute appointment, either CSC or non-CSC and ‘continue’. From here you will be asked to enter some standard details before confirming and making payment.

Please note, you may be required to enter your Community Services Card number for CSC appointments.

  • We are currently seeing an increase demand for travel consultations. Please note the following:

     1. We are a GP clinic not a travel clinic. We recommend a Travel Clinic, which will offer a wider range of advice/services.

     2. Travel consults are not government funded, and are therefore charged at the non-capitated rate ($50 per 10 minutes) - including for children. Most travel appointments require 20-30 minutes. We recommend the 'Fit for Travel' website to get an idea of complexity.

     3. Please book a travel consult with plenty of time to spare - we recommend a minimum of 6 weeks before departure.

    4. Vaccines we do offer are Hepatitis A, Typhoid, polio & Tetanus. These need to be paid for in advance of being ordered and can take 2 weeks to arrive.  If you require vaccinations like Rabies or Yellow Fever, or if your child requires malaria prophylaxis, you will need to be seen at a travel clinic.

  • Due to an unprecedented demand for clinical advice via the Indici portal, there will now be a routine charge for this service. We will continue to provide simple advice about children for free. If you would prefer an appointment, book online or phone our reception team on 09 900 1111.

Please note, the portal is not monitored daily. For urgent matters, please contact reception.

Te Atatu Health offers virtual appointments. Please book these via My Indici, or our reception.
